Mock Session - November 18, 2007

Mock Session is the preparatory session for the conference. The session serves as an opportunity for students to become aquatinted with the program, its procedures, and their responsibilities. The session also offers an opportunity to lead discussions on the development of resolutions within their assigned committees, and familiarize themselves with changes to the program. All attending students will have an opportunity to meet their officers as well as learn additional information about the topics for the different committees. Attendance at the Mock Session is REQUIRED for all students and advisors. ICJ, ICC, HSC, and NBC delegates that are absent from the Mock Session will be reassigned to another role within the conference.

Students are required to submit their position papers on November 1, 2007.Position Papers will be copied, distributed, and posted on the website at Mock Session for use during their committee time. Students should be prepared to discuss the position of their country on the various topics within their committee. The Mock Session will be a working session, designed to prepare students for the debate and resolution writing that will occur at the conference. Students who do not submit a Position Paper will not be allowed to vote during committee time.

Lunch at Mock Session is on your own and business attire is required.

The following items are due (November 1st ) three weeks prior to Mock Session:

  • Hotel Form
  • Delegation Roster
  • Position Papers
  • Secretary General Candidate Nomination Form
  • All Conference Fees (calculated on total delegate assignments selected)

You must bring 1 Adult Advisor for every 20 students that will attend the conference. Mock session is the last day that delegations may add countries. Individual deposits may not be refunded after this date.
