Y-MUN Advisor Orientation Slide Show |

The Adult Advisor is responsible for the behavior of their students and compliance with all program deadlines. It is highly recommended that adult advisors assist their students in preparation for the program. Advisors should meet as a delegation on a regular basis to ensure that students are clear on program expectations and are fully prepared for Conference. Country & topic research are a priority in preparing students in order to complete the required documents. Students also need to learn and practice parliamentary procedure for efficient debate at Conference. Delegate preparation should include discussions on conference values (honesty, respect, caring and responsibility) which are vital for a successful experience for all participants.
Advisors are assigned to a committee during Conference. At Conference, Advisors will be asked to fulfill their selected duty, in addition to supervising their delegates. Advisors are requested to assist delegates who may have questions or concerns during the course of Conference. All Advisors are required to remain in the hallway for a minimum of 30 minutes after curfew to ensure that students remain in the rooms and quiet. |
